LLM Launch
22.06.2010

The LLM (Practitioner), a collaboration between the Faculty of Law UCC and the Law Society of Ireland, was launched in UCC recently.

This programme has been designed to provide legal practitioners (solicitors and barristers) with an opportunity to complete a masters in law either on a part-time or full-time basis. The programme relies upon existing taught LLM modules at UCC but incorporates novel modules which require practitioners to reflect on their clinical practice of law. In addition, the programme structure facilitates the delivery of guest seminars from expert practitioners in the relevant areas of study. Participating students are expected to complete a research thesis as part of their studies, giving them the opportunity to engage in detailed research in an area of law that is of particular interest to them.

The degree programme can be completed in a 12-36 month period and can be tailored to suit the individual needs and interests of each participating student. Full details of the LLM (Practitioner) Programme are available at http://www.ucc.ie/en/lawsite/postgrad/LLMPractitioner/
