Starting on May 10th next, UCC will host a Graduate Career Forum with a series of one-day seminars in the university for graduates during which business leaders and recruitment specialists from a variety of industry sectors will share their experience and point graduates in the right direction. Speaking about UCC’s interest in assisting graduates who have been adversely affected by the current downturn, Dr Rónán O Dubhghaill, one of the organisers, said: “Waiting until things get better is simply not an option. We want to pro-actively help graduates identify relevant opportunities in today’s job markets.”
The seminars will run daily from May 10th-18th 2010.

particular on emerging trends in that sector, employers’ skills requirements

Advice Workshops
A series of workshops will be delivered by UCC’s Careers Service and will
provide graduates with guidance on career planning and career concept building,
creative job hunting and brand visibility, writing CVs for success, one-to-one
interviews (the personal sales pitch) and group interviews/assessment centres.
