UCC’s School of Medicine is organising a Symposium on Assessment titled "Assessment: The Big Questions and Some Answers" on Friday, January 22nd 2010. The venue is G06 Brookfield Health Sciences Complex.
Over the past decade, medical and other health care schools, postgraduate training programs, and licensing bodies have made new efforts to provide accurate, reliable, and timely assessments of the competence of trainees and practising physicians and professionals. The Symposium aims to deepen the understanding of specific areas of assessment in health care education and will provide overviews of state of the art strategies.
This event has been funded by the National Academy for Integration of Research, Teaching & Learning (NAIRTL) and it is approved for six credits by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
Attendance is free. Any query to Dr Rossana Kennedy at r.kennedy@ucc.ie
