UCC Orientation 2009
04.09.2009

Orientation 2009 runs at UCC from September 7th-20th for First Year and transfer students. The Orientation Programme coincides with Registration. During the weekend of September 19th and 20th, the University will host a Freshers Fest.
The Festival will be a two-day party celebrating the very best of student life - from the serious business of attending essential workshops/presentations and demonstrations to the fun side of music, sport and theatre performances.

The ultimate objective of a University-wide Orientation Programme is to provide all incoming first year students with a cohesive, integrated, comprehensive and consistent induction to UCC.  Prior to beginning lectures, Orientation and the Freshers Fest will allow students to familiarize themselves with the University and key sources of information and support.  New features of the programme this year are the introduction of interactive workshop and library tours.  A major new initiative is the Peer Support Programme - uLink.  This will enable every first year student to be met and supported throughout the academic year by a fellow student who has already successfully completed first year.

What you can do at the Freshers Fest:

•    Register for Clubs and Societies
•    Register for free membership of the Sport Arena
