A series of lunchtime seminars on ageing and diet, physical health and mental health concludes at UCC tomorrow Tuesday, October 20th at 1.15pm with a presentation on the theme “Mental Health in the Elderly” by Professor Ted Dinan, Professor of Psychiatry, Cork Neuroscience Group and Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre, UCC.
The highly successful lunchtime seminar series were organised by ELDERMET, an Irish research project examining the links between the intestinal bacteria and diet, health and lifestyle in older Irish adults. Members of the public are invited to attend the seminars which take place in Brookfield Health Sciences Complexes at 1.15pm. Admission is free; full details can be found at: http://eldermet.ucc.ie
As part of Age Action Ireland’s Positive Ageing photographic competition (sponsored by the ESB), an exhibition of photographs submitted by the general public are on exhibit at the Jennings Gallery, Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, College Road until November 20th.
