Political Science Association of Ireland Graduate Conference

The Department of Government, UCC will host the annual Political Science Association of Ireland Graduate conference on April 24th-25th.
Research scholars from Ireland, Great Britain and the US will present their findings in the following areas: Contemporary Politics in Ireland, North and South; Political Theory; Peace and Conflict; European Union and International Politics; Contemporary Global Issues. Over 60 scholars will be in attendance with a wide range of political issues to be debated.

Mr Robert Faucher, Chargé d'Affaires, US Embassy, Dublin will deliver the keynote address: A Strong European Union: Good for Ireland and the United States.

The conference will feature a workshop on "Teaching and Learning Method" and the challenges which face graduate students starting out on an academic teaching career. A second workshop will focus on the "PhD and Beyond" - how to prepare for the viva process; getting published and getting that all important first job.

This conference is an opportunity for all students of politics to engage with the leading research currently underway in the political sciences.
