Photographer, John Minihan will open an exhibition – Landscapes and Mindscapes on June 4th next at the Jennings Gallery, UCC.
The photographic exhibition is the work of UCC's College of Medicine & Health staff members Professor Colin Bradley, Dr Colman Casey and Dr Frank van Pelt.
The exhibition demonstrates that not only beauty but drama, wit, vitality, reflection and occasionally opportunism are also very much in the photographer’s mind as images are captured in the moment, patiently awaited or painstakingly crafted with the camera’s lens. Each photographer has a very different artistic perception. Frank’s still life photography is of stunning clarity, veering into the abstract, Colman’s images demonstrate infinite patience and dry humour while Colin’s work conveys both energy and tranquillity in equal measure.
This show continues the role of the Jennings Gallery in promoting the creativity of its staff and students and raising visual awareness. Works are offered for sale at very reasonable prices in signed and numbered limited editions.
Landscapes and Mindscapes will run at the Gallery (located in Brookfield Health Sciences Complex) until July 3rd inclusive. If you would like an invitation to the Opening on June 4th, please contact Ruth at jenningsgallery@ucc.ie See http://www.ucc.ie/en/jennings-gallery
