20.08.2009

How Irish women have benefitted from EU membership will be the focus of discussion at a one-day public consultative conference taking place at UCC on Tuesday, September 8th 2009.
The Conference, organised by UCC’s Department of Government, will address the possible impact of the EU on issues affecting women in the areas of Irish neutrality, sovereignty and family/ethical matters.

The format will be consultative and deliberative with afternoon roundtable sessions at which participants are invited to put forward questions and recommendations.

All are invited to this free public event that will run from 9.30-4.30 in the Food Science Building level 1 Room A1, UCC. Lunch will be provided on the day.
