UCC, in conjunction with the National Centre for Franco-Irish Studies (NCFIS) based in IT Tallaght, is hosting the fifth annual conference of the Association of Franco-Irish Studies (AFIS) on Friday May 22nd and Saturday May 23rd.
The theme of the conference is France, Ireland and Rebellion. Leading cultural historian, Professor Luke Gibbons (Notre Dame University) and Professor Anne Fogarty (Professor of James Joyce Studies, UCD) are just some of the plenary speakers.
A wide variety of presentations will be delivered by academics from UCC as well as from universities in North America, the UK, Continental Europe and elsewhere in Ireland.
