A major international conference on mobile and wireless networking will be jointly hosted in Cork by UCC and CIT from September 19th to 21st.
Titled "Convergence of Mobile Wireless Networks and the Internet", the 9th International Conference on Mobile and Wireless Communication Networks (MWCN) will report on many groundbreaking research results in the area of mobile wireless networks from Ireland, UK, Continental Europe, North America, Asia, and Brazil.
Organised by Professor Cormac J. Sreenan of UCC's Department of Computer Science and Dr Dirk Pesch of Cork Institute of Technology, the conference is sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The conference includes a keynote address by Professor Sajal K. Das from the University of Texas at Arlington on "Information Intensive Wireless Sensor Networks: Challenges and Solutions."
