UCC Supporting Science - Science Week 2006
Science Week Ireland is the celebration and demonstration of science,
engineering, technology and innovation in Ireland. In the week
beginning Monday, 13 November, people of all ages will be given the
opportunity to explore, discover and experiment not just in UCC but
across the city and county too.
"Science Week Ireland aims to highlight the importance of the science,
engineering and technology industries which provide a wide array of
exciting and fulfilling career opportunities" said Dr Anne Cronin,
UCC's Science Promotion Officer.
There are events both on and off campus during the week. UCC has
organised a number of workshops, interactive talks for schools,
individuals and families whilst the Chemistry Magic Show will provide
entertainment for both primary and secondary school students.

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in association with
the Cork Electronics Industries Association, the Tyndall National
Institute, the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre and the Cork Constraint
Computation Centre will be exhibiting at Discovery 2006. UCC is
