Cork Medics descend on Galway



UCC Medical Graduates from across the globe will gather in Galway next month for the Medical Alumni Scientific Conference 2006.

The conference which takes place on 14 and 15 September is being held in  Galway for the first time in the Glenlo Abbey Hotel.  UCC diaspora across the globe will be represented by a panel of speakers to discuss topics such as "The Changing Face of Medical Education in Ireland" and "Changing Face of Clinical Practice and Clinical Outcomes".  The Meeting will consist of both plenary sessions and workshops. Workshops  include "Modern Approaches to the Assessment of the Eye" and "Examination of the Orthopaedic Patient." Professsor Gerard Hurley, Vice-President, NUI Galway will open the conference.  Other topics include: "Implications of the Fottrell Report" and "The Future of General Practice in Ireland."
