UCC's magnificent Quadrangle becomes the setting on Thursday, 3 August
next for a charity concert in aid of Marymount Hospice. Organised
by UCC Campus Watch, in association with the Community Gardai at
Barrack Street Station, Cork, the concert features the Kerry Tenors
backed by the Band of An Garda Siochána, 'Collage' led by Paul
O'Donnell of UCC's Music Department and Cork School of Irish
Dancing. Host for the evening is Niall Toibín and compere is
Martina Carroll, RTE.
The Concert will raise funds for the hospice complex on Marymount's new
site at Ballinaspig at the end of Curraheen Road. The complex
will provide essential new beds and greatly enhance the quality of
existing services in the in-patient unit, the community-based services,
and the day unit.
UCC Campus Watch is a reputable organisation within UCC that seeks to
foster a spirit of responsibility and co-operation between students and
the wider community to create a safe, harmonious and student friendly
community environment.
The Concert takes place at 7.30pm, on Thursday, 3 August.
