Integrating Health Research-Sharing Visions - UCC Conference, 25 November
UCC's Faculty of Medicine and Health will host its first
Interdisciplinary Research Conference on Friday, 25 November
next. Titled "Integrating Health Research-Sharing Visions", the
conference will provide an ideal forum for all health care related
specialities and disciplines to share ideas and discuss issues of
mutual interest.
The keynote speaker is Dr Ruth Barrington, CEO, Health Research Board.
Invited speakers representing the schools and disciplines within the
Faculty of Medicine will present on four categories: Qualitative
Research, Quality of Life, Evidence Based Practice and Translational
Research. Speakers include: Professors Eamonn Quigley, Ivan
Perry, George Shorten (School of Medicine), Professor Susan Ryan and Dr
Catherine Pettigrew (School of Clinical Therapies), Dr Catriona Ó
Driscoll, Ina Herlihy and Cristin Ryan (School of Pharmacy), Dr Helen
Whelton and Dr Finbarr Allen (School of Dentistry), Professor Geraldine
McCarthy, Dr Eileen Savage and Elaine Lehane (School of Nursing and
Midwifery).
The Conference takes place on Friday 25 November in the Catherine
McAuley School of Nursing and Midwifery, Lecture theatre G.02,
Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, University College Cork. For
