Science Week 2005 at University College Cork, 14-18 November

Science Week Ireland is the celebration and demonstration of science, engineering, technology and innovation in Ireland. In the week beginning Monday, 14 November, people of all ages will be given the opportunity to explore, discover and experiment not just in UCC but also across the city and county.

Science Week Ireland aims to highlight the importance of the science, engineering and technology industries which provide a wide array of exciting and fulfilling career opportunities.

UCC has organised a number of events for schools, individuals and families which can be booked in advance (see programme below).  Two events do not require booking. The Science Information Evening for Parents, Students and Teachers on Thursday, 17 November is a careers information evening for parents and students designed to highlight the wide-ranging career opportunities available to science graduates.  The grand finale of Science Week in UCC takes place on Friday, 18 November at 7.30pm in the Kane Building with Dr Declan Kennedy's famously entertaining Chemistry Magic Show.
