University College Cork (UCC) hosts the European Dental Materials Conference
UCC hosts the the Eurpean Dental Materials Conference on 1/2 September
next. This is the 18th in a biennial series and is the second
time that Cork is the venue, organised locally by the University Dental
School & Hospital.
The principal theme is "Nanomaterials / Nanotechnology in Dentistry"
and a panel of international speakers has been assembled representing a
mix of industry, clinical dentistry and materials research.
Topics to be addressed include the science behind the introduction of
nanomaterials to dentistry, applications of the nanoscale approach to
areas such as restorative dentistry and dental implantology, the status
of nanomaterials in the teaching curriculum and predictions for the
future.
The meeting will provide a forum for the exchange of state-of-the-art
information on this innovative area in dentistry and materials research.
