Live the Good Life at UCC - World Digestive Day, 27 May
To commemorate World Digestive Health Day on Friday, 27 May, the
Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre (APC) at UCC is organising a Family Fun
Evening at the Mardyke Arena, Cork.
The Research Centre which focuses on gastrointestinal health is
inviting families to participate in a Family Fun Evening which will
include a range of activities for children aged 6-13 and lectures on
health and nutrition for adults.
Professor Eamonn Quigley, from the APC and Department of Medicine, UCC
and Consultant Gastroenterologist at Cork University Hospital
will speak on "Gut Health - how to avoid indigestion and live the
good life" followed by Dr Nora O'Brien, Department of Food and
Nutritional Sciences, UCC who will speak on "Food and Health - eat well
and enjoy it."
Childrens' activities include Bouncing Castle, Soccer and Basketball
with prizes for all winners! Light healthy refreshments will be
provided.
The event takes place at the Mardyke Arena, Cork at 5.30pm on the
evening of Friday, 27 May 2005 from 5.30pm - 8pm. Adults and children
from the age of 6 to 13 years are invited to attend.
Admission is free - by ticket only. Tickets (maximum - four
