Prof. Ó Macháin received a Cork Ambassador Award recently in recognition of his having organised and hosted international conferences in UCC.

Prof. Ó Macháin brought the Fifth International Conference on Watermarks in Digital Collections to Cork in 2019, pictured with Evelyn O Sullivan, Cork Convention Bureau, and Lynda Reilly, Failte Ireland.
