Medical Societies

MedSoc

UCC has a very energetic medical student society (MedSoc) which organizes a busy social calendar for medical students including welcome nights, social events, annual Med Ball, and even ski trips! MedSoc also organizes mock OSCE exams for junior students and help out at Open Days and other medical school activities including Prep for Med.

SurgSoc

UCC medical students also have a very active Surgical Society which organizes educational and social events for medical students.

Medicins Sans Frontieres

Medical students at UCC have their own branch of Medicins Sans Frontieres and are very active in MSF activities.

Surgeon Noonan Society

The Surgeon Noonan Society organizes student summer electives to Africa (students bring medical supplies and fund-raise during the year to bring financial aid to remote hospitals).

Outreach activities

Medical students at UCC are also actively involved in a number of popular outreach programmes such as the annual Teddy Bear Hospital and Prep-for-Med School (for Transition Year students).
