Read moreThis year’s Medical Alumni Conference included a diverse and fascinating range of presentations from across the globe - Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Third World, the ‘New’ Dementias, Radiation Oncology Training in Nepal, Advances in Paediatric Haematology, and the History of Cardiac Surgery in Cork. Medical alumni from all over the world attended the conference in Brookfield Health Sciences Building and the Annual Alumni dinner held later that evening in the Aula Maxima. The conference coincided with a number of medical alumni re-unions. The following day, Professor John Higgins, Head of the College of Medicine and Health at UCC, spoke to visiting alumni on developments in the College of Medicine and Health and invited medical alumni on a tour of the medical school.
