UCC has very active MedSoc and SurgSoc societies. The Surgeon Noonan Society organises student summer electives to Africa. Medical students at UCC are also actively involved in Medicins Sans Frontieres and a number of Outreach programmes (annual Teddy Bear Hospital, Prep-for-Med School)
