George Mitchell Peace Scholarship celebrates 25th anniversary

The scholarship honors the Northern Ireland peace agreement brokered by former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell between the governments and peoples of Ireland and the United Kingdom. 

During the 2024-2025 academic year, the George J. Mitchell Peace Scholarship, a prestigious exchange program between the University of Maine and the University College Cork (UCC) in Ireland, will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
