UCC congratulated by KTI Director, Dr Alison Campbell, for achieving international accreditation
While visiting UCC this week, Alison Campbell, Director of Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI), took the opportunity to recognise the receipt of professional accreditations by the technology transfer staff in UCC and CIT. Both institutions are part of the KTI funded UCT Technology Transfer consortium, led by UCC.

While visiting UCC this week, Alison Campbell, Director of Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI), took the opportunity to recognise the receipt of professional accreditations by the technology transfer staff in UCC and CIT. Both institutions are part of the KTI funded UCT Technology Transfer consortium, led by UCC. In 2015, six of the UCT consortium received accreditation from the international body, Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP) and have been formally designated as Registered Technology Transfer Professionals (RTTP). The RTTP status ‘recognizes the accomplishments, roles, skills, knowledge, and deal-making expertise of technology transfer professionals’ (http://attp.info/).
Commenting on this success, Alison said “I congratulate each of the technology transfer professionals on receiving their well-deserved accreditation which recognises their experience in the field. UCC and CIT have clearly embraced the opportunity for their staff to seek and attain these professional qualifications. To have received six individual accreditations in one year across the consortium is a great achievement and confirms that the investment by the State in developing capacity and capability in technology transfer, through the TTSI programme, is being well made.”
Dr Campbell was in Cork to attend a UCC hosted Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI) led Information session on the updated National Intellectual Property Protocol.
