Call for New Business Partners

We are now welcoming expressions of interest from organisations that would like to become id+ Project Business Partners, by offering a paid work placement opportunity to a student with an intellectual disability.

How Will It Benefit My Organisation?

The business case for organisations with a disability-inclusive culture has been well established, and is outlined in the graphic below which summarises research by Accenture and Deloitte Ireland.

Public Sector Duty

In addition, for public sector organisations the government has set a target to increase employment of people with disabilities from 3% to 6% by the end of 2024.

What Support Is Available?

We understand that some organisations might have questions or concerns about employing someone with an intellectual disability. We offer a suite of support options to all our Business Partners, including Disability Awareness Training, scheduled site visits and video calls, online drop-in sessions, and ongoing phone/email contact as required.

Next Steps

If you have questions, or would like to explore this opportunity further, please contact Project Manager Mary Byrne on idplus@ucc.ie.
