2017 20th Annual AUDGPI Conference Successes
The Department of General Practice was well-represented at the 2017 20th Annual Scientific Meeting of the AUDGPI (Association of University Departments of General Practice Ireland), which was held on 9th and 10th March 2017 in Limerick. The event, jointly hosted by the AUDGPI and ICGP, saw a range of presentations by academics, researchers and students from the Department of General Practice UCC, on topics including medical education, chronic conditions, dementia, patient and public involvement, and older people's care.
Dr Tony Foley, Lecturer in the Department of General Practice, along with colleagues from DCU (Dr Louise Hopper) and ICGP (Nick Fenlon) gave a keynote address on educational collaboration in the area of dementia care. Special congratulations go to Dr Aisling Jennings, GP Researcher/PhD candidate in the Department of General Practice on her success in being awarded an AUDGPI/ICGP research bursary.
