Texts & Identities: A Symposium on Contemporary Galician Studies analyses the relevance of texts and narratives for the construction of identities and standpoints in 20th and 21st century Galicia. Focusing on issues related to the representation of Ireland in Galicia through dramatic texts, translation and ideology, changes in the linguistic landscape and the negotiation of narratives in present-day advertising, this symposium proposes a multidisciplinary overview of contemporary Galicia and a glance at new trends in Galician Studies.
