Diploma in Corporate Direction Graduate - Newly Appointed to Teagasc Authority
A graduate of the UCC-ICOS Diploma in Corporate Direction (Food Business) was recently appointed to the Teagasc Authority. This appointment was made in October by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue T.D., along with the appointment of Elaine Houlihan (President of Macra). Vanessa is a board member of Bandon Co-operative and is the ICOS nomination.
The Teagasc Authority currently has 11 members with representatives from the farming organisations, the food industry, the universities, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Teagasc staff.
“Vanessa Kiely O’Connor is a dairy farmer from Innishannon, County Cork. She graduated with a Diploma in Corporate Direction (Food Business) from the UCC/ICOS programme, and also holds a Diploma in Environmental Science and Social Policy, from UCC. She is a board member of Bandon Co-Operative and also serves on the board of Clóna Dairy Products.
She is a member of the Women in Agriculture Stakeholder Group and serves on the ICMSA's Farm Business committee. Vanessa has won numerous farm awards in quality and sustainability.”
