RTÉ Radio One / Short Form Drama
Spinstren by Jools Gilson
Sunday 25th May at 8pm
Jools Gilson’s radio drama Spinstren will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio One, this Sunday at 8pm. It's part of the Short Form season, inviting writers to experiment with the form of radio drama, and presenting short cuts of radio fiction. The producer, Kevin Brew, will be interviewed on Arena today (Friday 23rd May) between 7 & 8pm talking about Spinstren and his gorgeous experiments with sound, using a €7000 binaural microphone borrowed from Trinity College Dublin.
Spinstren by Jools Gilson
RTÉ Drama On One’s Short Form season continues with Spinstren by Jools Gilson. Carla lives in a small coastal village and is haunted by the Spinstren, a group of women who heal using an array of mystical, magical spinning tops. In this binaural production, listeners can experience surround-sound by listening on headphones. Performed by Marion O’Dwyer and Caitriona Ni Mhurchu. Sound Supervision by Tom Norton.
