Award-winning poets Mary O'Malley and Monika Rinck to open poetry reading series at UCC
The first of UCC's four-part International Poetry Reading Series will be launched by UCC President Patrick O'Shea. Two award-winning poets Mary O'Malley (Galway) and Monika Rinck (Germany) will read together. Admission free, all welcome!
Mary O’Malley has published seven award winning books of poetry, most recently Playing the Octopus which was published by Carcanet Press. She is a member of Aosdána.
Monika Rinck is a German poet, translator and essayist who
has been awarded many prizes and honours for her work, in Kleist Prize in 2015 and the Peter Huchel Prize for her collection Honigprotokolle (2012).
She lives in Berlin.
