A Season of Readings

Collaboration between School of English, Munster Literature Centre and UCC Library
There will be a host of prize-winning authors reading on campus this semester, thanks to a collaboration between the School of English, the Munster Literature Centre and UCC Library, and the ideas and guidance of our Writer-in-Residence, Leanne O'Sullivan. Orange Prize-winner Zadie Smith, author of White Teeth and more recently NW, will appear alongside her poet/novelist husband, Nick Laird, and there will also be readings by acclaimed poets, Robin Robertson and Matthew Hollis to look forward to.
The series kicks off next week – January 16 ─ with the 2014 Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award winner, Colin Barrett. (Since his Cork win, Barrett has gone on to win the Guardian First Book Award for his collection, Young Skins.)
The readings, which run until May, will take place at 6pm in the Learning Zone of the Boole Library, unless otherwise stated. So now’s the time to make a note in your diary:
