Our new paper has been published in HRB Open research. We examined uptake in an Irish primary care population during the initial phase of implementation of RetinaScreen and investigated factors which predict consenting to participate in the programme.

We found, of 582 people who were registered with the national programme, 63% had participated in screening. People who had attended another retinopathy screening service were less likely to consent. Read the full paper here.
