The article, published in the Autumn issue of Diabetes Ireland, outlines the importance of attending diabetes eye screening, and how we developed and tested an intervention to improve screening attendance.

We worked with staff working in general practice and people with diabetes to develop the intervention which consisted of a practice audit, electronc prompts for general practice staff and reminders for patients. We also worked with a Patient and Public Involvement panel who continued to advise us on the research as the study progresses. You can read the full article here.
