Dr Stephen Roddy of the Department of Digital Humanities and the Radical Humanities Laboratory presented a talk entitled 'Messy Cybernetics', with his colleague Dr. Brian Bridges of Ulster University, for the International Graduate Residency in Music (GIM 2024) at the Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil.
The talk explored historically informed strategies for the development of cybernetic systems for musical applications. This topic will be further explored in their forthcoming book chapter due to be published in the Artificial Media volume of Springer's series on Cultural Computing.
