Eureka! Science Summer Camps for Ages 8-12
EVENTS: 1st-5th JULY
Fun-filled, hands-on science camps in the Eureka Centre in UCC. This year we are running two camps; the first from the 1st to the 5th July inclusive and the second from the 8th to the 12th July inclusive.
When: Monday, 1st July to Friday 5th July 2019 inclusive
Monday, 8th July to Friday, 12th July 2019 inclusive
Time: 9.45am to 12.45pm
Age Group: 8-12 years
Cost: €120 (Pre-payment required)
Where: Eureka Centre, Kane Building, UCC.
Please note that spaces are extremely limited so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
The mission of the Centre is to provide an interface between the University and school pupils, at all levels from primary school through to Leaving Certificate cycle, teachers and Industrial partners. The College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS), UCC, where the Eureka Centre is based, recognises the importance of engaging with students from an early age to stimulate and develop their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects, and firmly believes that the Eureka Centre provides an ideal environment for a suite of activities and initiatives to ensure a steady uptake of STEM subjects at second and third level and subsequently encourage the Scientists and Engineers of the future.
