Cork Alzheimers Café
EVENTS: Last Friday of Each Month
Cork Alzheimers Café is a safe place for people with Alzheimers and other dementias, their carers, family and friends along with social and health professionals to meet.
When: Last Friday of each month 1.30--3.30 pm
Where: St Finbarrs Hospital, Douglas Road.
Light refreshments provided free of charge. All welcome.

The Cork Alzheimer Cafe, was established in 2012 by healthcare professionals in St Finbarrs Hospital in collaboration with the Alzheimer Society, engaging persons with memory impairment and carers of persons with dementia. Alzheimer Cafes were first founded in the Netherlands in late 1990s and have grown in number worldwide since. This is the second Alzheimer cafe in Ireland, the first outside of Dublin, and is modelled on international best practice.
