Study visit of members of COEXPHAL

The Centre also hosted a study visit of members of COEXPHAL (Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organizations of Almería) and funded by the regional government of Andalucía, in southern Spain under the EUROEMPLEO PROJECT-COEXPHAL ON 16TH -20th MAY 2011.

The study group, made up of human resource managers from COEXPHAL, three primary co-operatives and the regional government of Almería and academic staff from the University of Almería were welcomed by Prof Michael Ward.  During the visit, work integration social enterprises and co-operatives were discussed with issues around human resources – staff retention, absenteeism and integration of minority and disadvantaged groups in the work place, central to this research.
