MSc Biotechnology Seminar 2024: Course Insights and Career Pathways for Prospective Applicants

The Biochemistry and Biotechnology Society at UCC hosted an MSc Biotechnology information seminar on Tuesday, November 19th which was attended by over 50 undergraduate students.
Professor Tommie McCarthy, delivered an engaging and informative presentation, covering course content, placement opportunities, and the career paths of graduates.
Recent graduates, Aoife Downes and Adam Ryan, who both completed the BSc Biochemistry and MSc Biotechnology programmes at UCC shared their experiences and insights on the MSc Biotechnology programme, from a student and professional perspective.
Aoife, is now a Manufacturing Process Specialist at J&J Innovative Medicine, and Adam is a BioProcess Specialist at BioMarin,
The seminar was chaired by Rebecca Murphy (4th year Biochemistry), Chair of the Biochemistry and Biotechnology Society.
