An Introduction to Legacy Giving at UCC
Have you thought about your will or estate lately? Many people tell us that taking time to plan brings peace of mind for themselves and their families.
For UCC graduates like you, it’s also an opportunity to reflect on the role the University has played in your life. After providing for loved ones, many graduates choose to include a gift to UCC in their estate plans as a way to express gratitude and create opportunity for others.
This is known as a Legacy Gift, and it doesn’t have to be large. Even a modest amount can make a big impact on student life, scholarships, research, sport, or other areas close to your heart. In some cases, it may also reduce inheritance tax, depending on your circumstances, so it’s best to consult a legal or financial advisor.
