Call for Case Study Submission for Sustainability in Teaching and Learning Showcase 2026

You are all welcome to submit case studies for the Sustainability in Teaching Showcase 2026. That is any case study featuring teaching sustainability or engaging with sustainability in teaching is welcome for the showcase.

All case studies submitted will be published in the Sustainability in Teaching 2026 Compendium and mentioned during the university-wide event dedicated to highlighting and celebrating innovative approaches to embedding sustainability in teaching and learning across all disciplines in UCC. The event will take place on Wednesday, 22nd May 2026 in Dora Allman. At this event also a select disciplinary representative case studies will be presented.

About the case studies

We invite you to share your practice in including sustainability in teaching. This may be a small change in your teaching practice, assessment, or module/ programme/ workshop design. Or might be something more substantial. All have value and provide inspiration for others showcasing how we are engaging the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and/or broader sustainability principles in teaching or developing students' sustainability competencies with Critical Thinking, System Thinking, Ethical Reasoning, Collaboration and Problem-Solving skills.

Deadline for case study submission: Tuesday, May 12th
