1 MSc project and 4 demonstration projects awarded funding in 2023 UCC's Living Lab Programme

In support of the implementation of UCC’s new Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (2023-28), the UCC Green Campus Living Laboratory Fund was once again opened for applications in July 2023. This is the third round of Funding for this programme since 2017. Previous successful projects have included UCC Open Arboretum and Nature and Wellbeing study. The call was announced in July 2023 with projects assessed and notified October 23. 4 demonstration Projects and 1 MSc. Read on for more information. 

 

In 2010, UCC was the first university in the world to be awarded the Green Flag from the Foundation for Environmental Education. Since then, the University has received over 40 awards for its sustainability programme and is globally recognised as a leader in sustainability and climate action. UCC Green Campus is “Student-led, Research-informed, and Practice-focused”; the Green Campus Living Laboratory Programme seeks to advance this agenda to demonstrate best practice in campus operations, teaching, research and engagement.

This is the third call for projects under the Green Campus Living Laboratory Programme. Previous successful projects have included UCC Open Arboretum and Nature and Wellbeing study.
