Shane Kingston wins Electric Ireland Fitzgibbon Rising Star 2020

Shane Kingston, Quercus Sports' scholar and Cork forward, has been named the Electric Ireland Higher Education Rising Star Hurling Player of the Year after helping UCC win back-to-back Fitzgibbon titles, scoring 4 points in the 2020 final game against IT Carlow.

Shane was also named on the Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Rising Stars 2020 Hurling Team of the Year along with fellow Quercus Sports' scholar, Mark Coleman, and another four UCC students, Robert Downey, Paddy O'Loughlin, Darragh Fitzgibbon and Shane Conway. Congratulaitons to all.
