Huge congratulations to our Innovation/Entrepreneurship Scholar, Emma Coffey, on winning the Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Emma is a Commerce Student and she is the founder of FinalBend, a sustainable clothing company.

The Minister for Trade, Enterprise and Employment, Simon Coveney, presented Emma with her award.

Accepting the award, Emma Coffey said: “I’m so honoured to be named the overall winner at the Enterprise Ireland student Entrepreneur Awards, with my company FinalBend. I’m so thankful for the support of UCC and Quercus in helping me throughout my entrepreneurial journey, the competition was steep with the inspirational other student businesses so I am truly grateful.”

As well as receiving €10,000 in prize money, Emma will also benefit from comprehensive business advice and mentoring from Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Office.

Quercus Scholars, Annie Madden & Nick Cotter, are also previous winners of the Enterprise Ireland Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Well done Emma - you deserve this!
