Seminar. Understanding the Lymph System: increasing Lymphoedema Awareness

Meadbh qualified as a Registered General Nurse specialising with a post graduate training in Paediatrics subsequently embarking on a different path by studying comprehensively in the field of integrative medicine with renowned Integrative Medical Oncologist Dr Rosy Daniel of the Bristol Cancer Help Centre. She set up the Lymph Clinic, which is a clinical centre of excellence located in the Cork Clinic, where she currently practices as a lymphoedema nurse consultant & medical integrative healthcare therapist.
Meadbh qualified as a therapist in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and decongestive lymphatic therapy (DLT) and set up the Dr Vodder School Ireland in 2019. Meadbh was the Previous Chair and Co-Founder of the National Lymphoedema Framework Ireland & Director Education MLD Ireland and Founding member of International Lipoedema Association (ILA) 2021.
In 2018, Meadbh completed a Masters in Public Health UCC and on behalf of the Lymph Clinic, will collaborate as team researcher in a two-year Breakthrough Cancer Research funded project on the ‘Value of Prospective Surveillance for Cancer-Related Lymphoedema (CRL) with Colette Cunningham of SPH UCC, Dr Deirdre O’ Mahony & Dr Con Murphy, Medical Oncologists, Bon Secours Hospital Cork which commenced December 2021.
