Inspiring Future Public Health Leaders at UCC Open Day 2025

A busy and exciting day filled with energy, curiosity and conversation!
On Saturday 11th October, University College Cork welcomed senior cycle students from across the country to its Autumn Open Day, showcasing the vibrant learning environment and outstanding programmes that make UCC a top choice for undergraduate study.
The School of Public Health was delighted to meet so many enthusiastic prospective students eager to learn more about the BSc in Public Health Sciences (CK706). The introductory lecture, delivered by Dr Paul Beirne, drew a large and engaged audience, sparking thoughtful discussion about the diverse career opportunities in public health.
Current BSc students Sorcha Higgins, Ella Gebruers, and Eoin Riordan were on hand throughout the day, answering questions and sharing their experiences of studying Public Health at UCC. Their enthusiasm, insight and warm welcome made them fantastic ambassadors for the programme.
It was a busy and exciting day filled with energy, curiosity and conversation. Visitors enjoyed exploring the campus, attending talks, and getting a real sense of the supportive and dynamic community that defines UCC.
