Minister Paschal Donohoe addresses UCC Economics Society

UCC was delighted to welcome Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, Paschal Donohoe, to campus on Tuesday, 20 February.
The Minister was at UCC to meet with members of the UCC Economics Society, where he spoke to students about his background and his roles as Government Minister and Eurogroup president. Students enjoyed an open discussion with the Minister, with questions ranging from balancing prudence and expenditure to the Minister’s economic outlook.
Ahead of addressing the Economics Society, Minister Donohoe met with Professor John O’Halloran in the President’s Office where he signed the Visitor’s Book and was presented with a gift in the company of: Deputy President and Registrar, Stephen Byrne; UCC Economics Society, Michael Dore, Gearoid O’Donovan, Oisín Mac Sweeney; Department of Economics, Robbie Butler; Corporate Secretary, Nora Geary and Governing Authority Chair, Sean O’Driscoll (pictured above).
