Visit of Indian Ambassador to UCC

The Indian Ambassador to Ireland recently attended a small ceremony at UCC.
His Excellency Mr. Sandeep Kumar visited Professor O’Halloran at the President's Office on 13 September.
The purpose of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between University College Cork and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
Under the new agreement, UCC has been awarded a prestigious ICCR Visiting Chair in Indian Studies, the second in Ireland and first outside Dublin. It is anticipated that the first professor will be appointed in 2022 and will be hosted by the College of Arts, Celtic and Social Sciences.
