Blindness
The Department of Hispanic Studies presents:
Cinema nights on Thursdays, featuring films produced in the Iberian Peninsula (Portugal, Galicia, Catalonia, the Basque Country) and Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina)
The programme begins with a short series of Portuguese films, which focus on politics and the individual. The first screening will take place on October 10th with Blindness (Fernando Meirelles, 2008), an adaptation of the 1995 novel Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira by Nobel-laureate Portuguese writer José Saramago (1922-2010).
Screenings start at 6pm
