Scholarships for students

More than 20 students received awards at the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science (SEFS) Awards Ceremony recently.
Professor Paul McSweeney, Vice Head of College of SEFS, commended all the scholarship students/graduates and presented the awards to all including the SEFS Graduate of the Year, Phelim Bradley (in absentia), who graduated with a first class honours in Physics and the runner-up Roisín Jones who graduated with a BSc Honours in Chemistry. In making the awards both academic distinctions and the part played in “full participation” in UCC life was taken into consideration.
Undergraduate Scholarships were also presented to students based on their university results in the summer 2012 examinations.
