The UCC Volunteer Fair on Tuesday 8 October will offer students, staff and passersby the opportunity to engage with a range of non-profit organisations from Cork and further afield.

UCC Chaplaincy in partnership with Cork Volunteer Centre will host the 2013 UCC Volunteer Fair, which takes place in Devere Hall (Student Centre) on Tuesday, 8th October, from 10am to 4pm.

There will be a huge representation from organisations supporting social and community work, international development and animal welfare, to name but a few. A large number of UCC clubs and societies will also have stands at the event, and there will be a free raffle where attendees will have the chance to win a number of prizes, including a Kindle.

Groups attending include Age Action, Chernobyl Children International, Cope Foundation, CUH Charity, Fota House & Gardens, Passage West Community Music Project, Simon Community UCC, Youth Work Ireland and St Vincent de Paul Society UCC, amongst others.

Volunteering provides individuals with a unique chance to give something back to the community, meet new people, develop their skills and enhance their CVs. UCC Chaplaincy and Cork Volunteer Centre invites students and the wider community to attend the event to explore the exciting array of volunteering options available to them. All are welcome.
