Presenting the award, Honor Moore, Partner, Deloitte Cork said: “Deloitte is honoured to be associated with this prize which recognises excellence in executive education. Huge compliments must also go to the team at UCC - the quality of and the importance of the UCC MBA programme for high level business education in the region is not to be underestimated.”

UCC President, Dr Michael Murphy, who hosted the award ceremony, paid tribute to Deloitte’s commitment to executive education. He highlighted the importance of their support for the Executive MBA programme which also includes a series of Business Leadership lectures to be held over the next year.

Executive MBA Director, Dr Joan Buckley, congratulated Mr Murray both for his academic achievements and his overall contribution to UCC’s Executive MBA. She pointed out the Deloitte prize forms part of an overall strategy to enhance executive education at UCC. “The MBA is our flagship executive education degree and in this prize we recognise an executive who has shown exceptional ability,” she said.

In thanking the sponsors and the Executive MBA team Mr Murray said, “the UCC Executive MBA provides an ideal platform to broaden one's intellectual horizons. It has enhanced both my professional and personal growth and provided access to an invaluable network”.
